Bike Jersey Apparel Design - inspired by the Ugly Xmas Sweater!

It is not every day you work on a project like this. Ross Larson of Colorado was fed up with bike jerseys with corporate sponsors. Why do we pay big bucks for cycling jerseys that advertise someone else's product for free?

Ross asked us to develop an original jersey design. Why not a jersey that channels our inner love of ugly Xmas sweaters! Ross agreed and ...  voila! We'll keep you posted when these will be ready for sale. In the mean time, read what Ross Larson said about working with JEB Design.

SEA Change Ahead for new identity and website

SEAchange new website and corporate identity

Developed the corporate identity, stationery and website for SEAchange Business Coaching & Consulting. The task was to take the legal name, Stockton Executive Advisors LLC, and develop a memorable brand. The initials S.E.A. merged with the words, "change" not only symbolized their name but also reflect their goal for their clients through consulting and coaching.

Formation Building Campaign Identity for St. Margaret's Church of Annapolis, MD

St. Margaret's Church of Annapolis, Maryland asked JEB Design, Inc. to help develop their Formation Building Campaign identity. The Church needed to raise $3 million dollars in pledges to start the process of building a new building on their grounds. The structure will house their Day School along with many other community outreach programs.

JEB Design has worked closely with St. Margaret's Church in the past developing New Rector Search Profiles and, in 2006, creating the church's new identity. This was a great honor for us since St. Margaret's Church is an important, historic treasure of Annapolis that dates back to 1692.

Below we showcase the design goal for the Formation Building Campaign's identity. JEB Design needed to visually link the St. Margaret's logo with the previous Day School logo. The Formation committee's goal is that after the fund raising campaign was completed the school would have a solid identity to build upon.

We are thrilled to report that, as of today, St. Margaret's has raised $2.75 million and is closing in on the goal of $3 million. The project director, Anne Sessions, says the following:

Maid Marian and Robin Hood go 80's punk! New illustration for Childplay Theatre

Maid Marian and Robin Hood going Punk!

Maid Marion - square compositionBefore there was Katniss of The Hungar Games, there was Maid Marian! This modern 80's punk take on the classic tale of Robin Hood will be performed this Fall at Childsplay of Tempe, AZ. 

After the Play's creative director reviewed Joe Barsin's original illustration of the classic medieval portrayal of Robin Hood (see blog post), he asked for Maid Marian to be illustrated and included. Also, the creative concept of portraying this classic story within a modern 80's theme was requested. 

I love these challenges and taking the illustration to this new direction was great fun. The concept to portray Robin Hood and Maid Marian as 80's punks makes sense when you think that the classic tale was of rebellion in the UK. Robin Hood's inner Billy Idol comes out to play! That being said, this is a play for children so the illustration needed to be age appropriate. I hope you enjoy the work.

Real estate Commissioned Illustration, Smoky Mountains, TN

Joe Barsin, Barsinart.com, finished a promotional illustration for the rental properties within Brother's Cove, located in the Smoky Mountains. A large illustration was first completed for the owner of one of the gorgeous log cabins, B's Refuge, then a logo was developed. HBO renews "VEEP" for Season 3. Season 2 Finale features Joe Barsin's art on the set.

"Annapolis Sails" sighting! We were delighted to see lingering views of our print in three different scenes during the season finale of HBO's "VEEP" on June 23, 2013. Let's see if the sails stay raised for the renewed, third season in 2014.

USNA Annapolis: War of 1812 Conference, Art signing

The 1812 Superbowl comes to Annapolis this week. Top scholars from the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom will converge on the Naval Academy for a four-day symposium on the war.

During the conference, this Thursday (6/13/2013) Joe Barsin will be on hand to sign his original illustration: "By the Dawn's Early Light."
